Direct benefits for CPN member firms include…
Partners around the world:
The CPN network spans the globe with partner offices in virtually all important economic centers of the world. Where no active representation is yet available, the CPN Head Office can help, support and connect member firms with reliable agents.
Pricing and superior service are two key elements in securing new business and customer loyalty. Network membership guarantees the ability to meet these often elusive goals through agreed upon service standards and volume buying. Opportunities are further enhanced through the active exchange of sales leads, sales support and coordination for global tenders.
Bad Debt Protection Program:
A Trust Fund has been created to indemnify member firms against the potential bankruptcy of another member firm to the amount of USD 50,000. This added security allows member firms to transact business with each other with additional peace of mind and financial security.
During the more recent decades, dispute arbitration has gained worldwide acceptance as a means of resolving international commercial disputes. National laws on arbitration have been modernized; international treaties on arbitration have acquired new adherents and businesses are increasingly attracted to this method of dispute resolution that can offer neutrality, flexibility and predictability.
An arbitral tribunal at CPN headquarters conducts dispute resolution examining the merits of the case and rendering a final award. Members can avail themselves of this mechanism to avoid costly legal fees and judgments rendered in ignorance of transport law.
Partnership relationships require ongoing care and grooming of personal relationships. Hence the importance of our Annual Conference that allows the principals of our member firms to meet with each other and exchange their ideas, visions and experiences. Life at the top is lonely and it is an enriching exercise to have this one yearly chance to meet amongst peers!
Also, an important time component is allocated to one-on-one meetings that are pre-scheduled to allow for bilateral dialogue and negotiations between member firms. Conference attendance is mandatory for all member firms.
Change today is practically the only constant in our lives. Hence the importance of staying informed through industry related sources and transforming such data into timely and relevant information for member use. At CPN we´re doing this by means of regular e-Bulletins, a Newsletter; and by maintaining a proactive website.
